About Us
The Rehabilitation Services Volunteer Project (RSVP) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization offering physical rehabilitation services and equipment to uninsured individuals with disabilities.
Recognizing that uninsured individuals with disabilities in our community lacked access to rehabilitation services, a group of rehabilitation professionals joined together in 2011 to volunteer their time and skills to provide care to these patients in a coordinated manner. After informally volunteering for a year, the Rehabilitation Services Volunteer Project officially incorporated in 2012 and was granted tax-exempt [501(c)(3)] status the following year. Also in 2013, RSVP assumed control of Project Union, a community organization that had provided durable medical equipment to under-resourced individuals in our community.

Our board consists of dedicated professionals with extensive backgrounds and ongoing current practice in their areas – ensuring every patient receives high quality treatment, from individuals truly able to understand their circumstances and situation. This also enables us to actively identify problems as they may arise and resolve them appropriately. And our professional structure ensures equally professional service, leadership, and sustenance of the organization.
RSVP Houston values diversity, equity, and inclusion, inspired by the diverse disabilities of those we serve. We strive to improve function and quality of life for all, embracing various social determinants of health and supporting individuals of all abilities, backgrounds, and identities.
